Open Society Foundations Alumni Network Western Balkans

Over the past 30 years, the Open Society Foundations (OSF) has built a global community of change-makers, fostering connections, friendships, and a shared commitment to the pursuit of societal openness and open society values. Building on the strength of this diverse and extensive network, we would like to connect and bring together the Open Society Foundations Western Balkans Alumni, uniting individuals from the region to collectively advance the cause of an open society and champion initiatives for enduring social change.

This initiative marks the inaugural step toward an OSF Western Balkans Alumni Network, envisioned as a professional community comprised of exceptional individuals who have demonstrated excellence in their respective fields. This network aims to serve as an outstanding platform and catalyst for collaborative opportunities.

The OSF-WB Alumni Network will offer a myriad of opportunities for its members, including opportunities to connect with like-minded peers, engage in professional networking, exchange ideas and knowledge, and participate in meaningful local and regional initiatives. Through this network, OSF-WB Alumni will be empowered to stay connected and maintain enduring connections with fellow alumni, sustaining the spirit of OSF's mission; create joint projects and initiatives that leverage the collective expertise of the alumni; harness regional expertise and provide individual and/or collective expertise within different national and regional OSF-WB initiatives; facilitate regional cooperation among alumni to address shared challenges and opportunities in the Western Balkans; and foster regional change to drive positive change within the Western Balkans region by pooling resources, knowledge, and expertise.
